In 2013, a local entrepreneur opened up two collection points for donations. The idea was originally thought of by one of her younger team members and they won a PACE award and a Gold ADDY for their shoestring budget campaign in 2014. Today, although that same entrepreneur has moved on to new opportunities, she doesn't want to let this effort end.
The City Rescue Mission of Lansing operates the largest shelters for men and for women and children in Michigan’s capital area. They provide shelter to more than 1,600 individuals every year. Socks are a great need but not often donated.
Sock donations help people stay warmer and more comfortable during some of Michigan’s harshest winter days.
Thanks for helping Keep Lansing warm!
